Terms of Service

Using Clantools

Clantools is a free, fan-made Clan planner run by DJ Maddox. These terms apply when you use it. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. You can stop using it at any time.

Use it lawfully. Do not try to disrupt the site, bypass its safeguards, introduce harmful code or access someone else’s information. Only use images and other content you own or have permission to use.

Your content is your responsibility

You keep ownership of your original content. You are responsible for what you enter, import, download or share, including respecting other people’s privacy and copyright. Please do not enter passwords, financial information or other sensitive personal details.

Local saves and backups

Your planner saves live in your browser, not in a shared account. They do not automatically move between browsers or devices. Clearing browser data, private browsing, storage limits, errors or site changes can erase or reset saves. We cannot recover deleted local data.

Export important family trees before making changes. Tree exports do not back up every part of a Clan, such as its lore or territory map; keep separate copies of those. You are responsible for keeping your own backups.

Full backups and restoring

The “Back up everything” button on the main page downloads one file with all of your Clans and lineages. Restoring a backup replaces everything currently saved in this browser. Restore only files you trust, and back up your current work first — replaced saves cannot be recovered. Backups are provided as a convenience; keep your own copies of anything important.

Fan project and ownership

The website is © DJ Maddox 2026. Warrior Cats names, characters and associated artwork belong to their respective rights holders. Clantools is not an official Warrior Cats product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by its creators or publishers. A fan-project disclaimer does not give you permission to reuse someone else’s work.

No promises about availability or accuracy

Clantools is provided “as is” and “as available.” That means we do not promise it will always work, be error-free, meet every need or contain accurate or complete character information. Features may change or be discontinued. External images and links are outside our control.

Limits on responsibility

As far as the law allows, DJ Maddox makes no warranties about the site, including promises that it is suitable for a particular purpose. DJ Maddox is not liable for lost saves, lost profits, business interruption or indirect losses caused by using, or being unable to use, Clantools.

These limits do not remove any rights you have under laws that cannot be waived. They do not exclude liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or intentional misconduct.

Changes and questions

Updates to these terms will be posted here with a new date. Changes apply going forward, subject to applicable law. If one part cannot be enforced, the rest still applies as far as the law allows. See the Privacy Policy for how information is handled.
